WOOW newspaper (2023)

The WOOW newspaper was commisioned by professor Nurhan Abujidi, head of research group Smart Urban Redesign. Its proposes a radical imagination for the neighborhood of the future.

The final publication of the WOOW program documents the findings, experiences and solutions of a unique social and educational program for highly educated migrants with an official permit to live and work in the Netherlands (status holders). Besides focussing on their professional knowledge, the personal life journeys of some WOOW-participants are hightlighted.

"It was October 16, 2016. Three o'clock in the afternoon. I'll never forget it. We arrived in Heerlen." Khadija Mannan from Syria had just completed a long journey.
