The Anti-City Guide uncovers the unfiltered energy of arrival districts, shrinking cities, and post-industrial urban landscapes.
In my debute De Antistad (nai010, 2016),
I explore how these cities reveal a society beyond growth—unscripted, unvarnished, and utterly real. Often dismissed as marginal, these places are in fact a radical antidote to the polished museumification and overtourism suffocating Europe’s cities.
The Anticity is a metaphor for the overlooked, the irrelevant, the places that don’t matter.
It champions alternative perspectives on urbanity, drawing on the theories of Nic Tummers and Lewis Mumford.
